Zoom is going to introduce a new feature called Focus, which is meant to "keep students from getting distracted while in a virtual classroom, while still allowing the teacher to keep an eye on everybody." With this feature, meeting participants cannot see each other’s videos or screen shares, but only the host will be able to see everyone’s webcams. This can prove to be helpful for a teacher, who can turn on Focus mode while presenting, and then turn it off when it’s time for a class discussion.

It has become an almost regular scenario where students play around while the teacher carry out their work, resulting in a distraction to all, and the Focus feature can control that to a great extent.
This feature can be used by all accounts, groups, and individual users, through the More button in a call.
