After what seemed like some time off, Windows is back with something new. Windows 11 is finally get a new layout for the volume and brightness indicators, which bit only goes well with the design of Windows 11, but is also going to do away with the older Windows 8 black bars.
These indicators soon to be updated include those of , brightness, volume, airplane mode, camera on/off and camera privacy. As quoted by Microsoft’s Windows Insider Chief Amanda Langowski, “These new flyouts will appear when you press the volume or brightness keys on your laptop and will honor light/dark mode to give you a more coherent Windows experience.” Further, she adds, “Brightness and volume indicators continue to be interactive with the update.”
Alongside this design tweak, Microsoft is also allowing testing a new call experience in the Your Phone app on Windows 11. “This update includes a new in-progress call window with updated icons, fonts, and other UI changes that align with the improved design of Windows 11.”
These Windows 11 indicators are reportedly being put for testing, which implies Microsoft announcing them is quite far off.
