WhatsApp's brand new update has performance enhancement, a more simplified look, and making it possible to send and receive messages now in offline. For Windows, it is now going to be a native app, replacing the previous web-based desktop app. After being tested on beta mode for quite a while, it will now be officially available.
One prominent change that the update brings with it is receiving messages and notifications even without syncing through a phone. Also, users will be able to connect to four devices without needing an online mobile device. Of course, this will prop up the end-tp-end encryption feature as well, the feature making WhatsApp stand out among the others.
As informed by WhatsApp, the Desktop app now has a much cleaner look, is faster, and more reliable. All other related details are elucidated by WhatsApp on their FAQ page.
