Though AR/VR headsets have become slimmer, they’re still large, but fear not, Motorola and Verizon are here to save the day!
With Motorola and Verizon putting out news of a 5G neckband for AR/VR headset or glasses, the product appears to resemble an iPod around the neck.
Reportedly, the front pendant measures 2.1x3.8 inches (54 x 97mm), weighs 3.5 ounces (100 grams), equipped with 5000mAh battery, SIM card slot, touchpad, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and charging light indicator. With ample of sensors like GPS, barometer, accelerometer and gyroscope and 5G antennae, a module at the back contains antenna and stereo loudspeakers.
Also, the fact that it was devised to moving the load onto the shoulders so that it reduces weight on the neck is quite witty. Nonetheless, Motorola says we should stay tuned for more information about this, indicating that this is still in a developing phase.
