Microsoft Surface Duo finally gets Android 11!

Microsoft is here with its Surface Duo and here’s what is the popular opinion on the internet. No Android 11 update in spite of the fact that Android 12 was out in 2021, seemed to disappoint many. So right now. Android 11 has finally arrived to Surface Duo.

Nonetheless, not all the users will get the update, users with a Surface Duo tied to AT&T will have to wait. As reported by Microsoft, “For locked or unlocked AT&T Surface Duos, we are testing this release and it is pending final validation.”

The Android 11 update includes wider notification shade, updated Launcher widgets, new volume and brightness controls, improved app folders, and a refreshed Settings layout. In addition to that, auto app-spanning for user-selected apps, a new Photos app (based on OneDrive), and more support for a Surface Pen, which can now be used in Outlook or to markup photos.

Also, a new OS is here for stability, gesture and touch improvements, which greatly enhance the user experience on the whole.
