Intel teases a 5.5GHz boost clock CPU!

Updated: Jan 13

Intel’s CES tease is what is doing rounds on the Internet right now!

With an incredible speed of 5.5 GHz, this CPU is 300 MHz ahead of the recent Intel Core i9-12900K having speed up to 5.2 GHz. Rumored to be called the Core i9-12900KS, it is predicted to release in late 2022.

The new Core i9-12900KS has a 200 MHz aka a 4% higher boost clock than the present Alder Lake flagship.

Looking into a tweet from Intel Technology, a dashing 16-Core (8+8) processor was teased, which could probably be this Core i9-12900KS as a new “S” version to the Core i9-12900K as they looked pretty identical.

This new version with its increased clock speed and power consumption reportedly has 16 cores (8 Golden Cove+ 8 Gracemont). Also, motherboards will require an update for its accommodation.

Though nothing really about the pricing and release date could be known, this is pretty much a lot we could gather about this new CPU.
