Google releases dark mode for desktop application!

Desktop users, Google has news for you! After a long time of speculations since December, Google has officially announced the dark theme feature for Google search on a desktop.

This feature can be availed through Settings > Search Settings > Appearance and then dark. Additionally, a device default option is here to change the theme basing on the device and its settings.

Google added that this feature would be accessible to all “in the coming weeks”. Some users have already reportedly been able to see a sun icon at the top right as a shortcut to enable or disable the mode.

The official release of this feature was anticipated for quite a bit, with a lot of users having a preference for dark mode, and requesting Google to do so.
