Google recently claimed that the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are going to do away with in-box charging bricks.
Google didn’t make a direct statement, but it is obvious as most companies assert removing the charger. This is an eco-friendly move which would produce fewer charges on the total and eventually lessen e-waste. Not only that, phones can be shipped in smaller boxes, which means more devices per shipment and less rounds.
Thinking rationally, there’s always a USB-C cable and a power brick in a house, be it an older one or one from another company. Users putting the ones they already own into use is a small but great step towards saving resources.
As Apple, Samsung and Google are gonna remove the charger, smaller companies will do the same.
