Dell's new Precision 7865 has an enormous 1024 GB of RAM

Dell has put out news of its Precision 7865 Tower today. Manufactured mostly by keeping engineers, architects, designers and creative professionals in mind, this PC is far beyond even the best desktop computers existing.

Running on the latest AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5000 WX-Series processors and having up to a massive 1,024 GB of memory, the other notable specs include a total storage of 56 TB, CPU with 64 cores, and options for graphics from AMD and NVIDIA, with the AMD Radeon PRO W6800 or the NVIDIA RTX A6000.

As a surprising plus, this Tower PC is 14% smaller than the Precision 7820 Tower and as promised by the company, it would run at reasonable temperature despite its internals and being more compact.

This Precision 7865 Tower also supports Dell Optimizer for its Precision software, which assists in user’s workflow and enhances application performance with the help of AI based on demand.

In addition to that, the device has color coded components so that it helps in easier swapping of storage, memory or graphics cards, and is also upgradeable. However, the company informs that the pricing would be intimated close to its launch date, and that the device would be expected to ship in summer 2022.
